This policy explains what personal data Accuval collects through this website and when you contact us, why we use it, and the rights you have. We keep it short and we collect as little as we can.
1. Who we are
The controller responsible for your personal data is Accuval Ltd, a company registered in Cyprus under registration number HE 453478, with its registered office at Vitsi 6-8, Block B, Office 301, Strovolos, 2015, Nicosia, Cyprus (“Accuval”, “we”, “us”).
For any question about this policy or your personal data, contact us at info@accuval.cy or +357 22 042604.
This policy covers this website and enquiries you send us through it, by email or by phone. When we act for a client, the engagement terms explain how we handle information within that engagement.
2. What we collect
Information you give us
When you use the enquiry form, or email or call us, we receive the information you choose to share:
- your full name and work email address;
- your company name and phone number, if you provide them;
- the topics you select under “I am interested in”;
- anything you write in your message, which may include information about your business.
Please do not include sensitive personal data (such as health information) in your message. We do not need it to respond.
Information collected automatically
When your browser loads this website, it sends standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the date and time. This is processed by:
- our website hosting provider, which keeps short-term server logs to deliver and protect the site;
- jsDelivr, a content delivery network that delivers the small script used for smooth scrolling;
- our enquiry form service, Web3Forms, which receives your IP address with each enquiry you send and uses it, with your email address, to filter out spam.
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and this website does not set cookies. See our Cookie Policy.
3. How and why we use it
| Purpose | Data | Legal basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|---|
| Reply to your enquiry and arrange a conversation | Contact details, selected topics, your message | Your consent, given when you submit the form (Art. 6(1)(a)), and steps you ask us to take before a possible engagement (Art. 6(1)(b)) |
| Keep a record of our correspondence | Contact details, messages exchanged | Our legitimate interest in managing enquiries and establishing or defending legal claims (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
| Deliver the website securely and reliably | Technical data such as IP address and browser type | Our legitimate interest in operating a secure, functioning website (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
| Meet legal and regulatory obligations | Whatever the obligation requires | Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) |
We do not sell personal data, use it for automated decision-making or profiling, or add you to marketing lists. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us; this does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
5. Transfers outside the EEA
Some of our service providers, or their sub-processors, may process data outside the European Economic Area, for example in the United States. Where this happens, the transfer is protected by an adequacy decision of the European Commission (including the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, where the provider is certified) or by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
In particular, our enquiry form service, Web3Forms, is operated from India, and its sub-processors, including its cloud hosting and spam-filtering providers, may process enquiries in the United States and elsewhere. These transfers are covered by the Standard Contractual Clauses incorporated into the Web3Forms Data Processing Agreement.
6. How long we keep it
- Enquiries: for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up. If no engagement follows, we delete them within 24 months of our last contact. Separately, our form service, Web3Forms, keeps a copy of each submission in its systems and deletes it automatically within three years.
- If you become a client: in line with your engagement terms and the record-keeping periods required by law.
- Server logs: kept by our hosting provider for a short period for security and troubleshooting, then deleted.
7. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. The website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), form submissions are encrypted in transit and stored encrypted by our form service, and access to enquiries is limited to the people who need it to respond.
8. Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation and Cyprus law (Law 125(I)/2018), you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data erased;
- restrict or object to our use of your data, including where we rely on legitimate interests;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time.
To use any of these rights, email info@accuval.cy. We may ask you to confirm your identity. We respond within one month, and there is no charge.
9. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your personal data, please tell us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus (dataprotection.gov.cy) or to the data protection authority where you live or work.
10. Other information
